YETS – YOUTH EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SPORT

Il progetto YETS – Youth Empowerment Through Sport si concentra sullo sport di base e sul metodo Football3 come strumento per sostenere la coesione sociale, l’uguaglianza, il rispetto e l’inclusione. Attraverso la collaborazione con l’associazione sportiva Oltalom, partner del progetto, l’obiettivo principale per il nostro staff è quello di osservare, studiare e apprendere attività e metodi innovativi in grado di affrontare le questioni sociali attraverso lo sport, coinvolgendo beneficiari con background diversi (rifugiati, richiedenti asilo, giovani svantaggiati, neet, ecc.).

Con l’innovativa metodologia Football3, i partecipanti sono invitati a giocare in modo diverso: l’obiettivo è creare un cambiamento nell’uso dello sport, per promuovere l’uguaglianza e il rispetto, sostenendo principi di cittadinanza attiva e solidarietà. Attraverso l’azione chiave 1 del programma Erasmus+, che promuove e sostiene la mobilità a fini di apprendimento, il nostro staff approfondirà alcune delle attività e delle metodologie che Oltalom ha sviluppato e promosso negli ultimi anni attraverso vari progetti (“Football3” – “Team Up for Ukraine”, “Score for Respect project” – “Neet needs sport” – “GAIA” e DIALECT 2).

Dopo la mobilità, il nostro personale coinvolgerà alcuni colleghi in sessioni di formazione interna per condividere le conoscenze acquisite. I metodi esplorati durante la mobilità saranno infine implementati nelle diverse attività che Heron promuove (progetti scolastici, formazioni, campi estivi) e nei contesti non formali dove sempre più spesso si sviluppano i nostri progetti.

The project YETS – Youth Empowerment Through Sport focuses on grassroots sport and on the “Football3” method as a tool to support social cohesion, equality, respect, and inclusion. Thanks to the collaboration with Oltalom sports association, a project partner, the main objective for our staff is to observe, study and learn innovative activities and methods able to address social issues through sport, involving beneficiaries with different backgrounds (refugees, asylum seekers, disadvantaged young people, neet, etc…).

With the innovative Football3 methodology, children are invited to play in a different way. The goal is to use sport to promote equality and respect, supporting principles of active citizenship and solidarity. Through the Erasmus+ Programme Key Action 1, which support learning mobility, our staff will deepen some of the activities and methodologies that Oltalom has developed and promoted in recent years, through various projects (i.e.: “Football3” – “Team Up for Ukraine”, “Score for Respect project” – “Neet needs sport” – “GAIA” and DIALECT 2.

Following the mobility, our staff will involve other colleagues in internal training sessions to share the knowledge and experiences. The aim in this respect is to ensure an all-round growth path in our organization. The methods explored during the mobility will be implemented in various Heron’s activities such as schools’ projects, regular training, summer camps, and in non-formal contexts where our projects are increasingly being developed.
